Privacy Policy

Your photos
When you animate a photo, it is shrunk in your browser and sent to our server, which passes it to our processing provider, Anthropic, to create the animation. We do not store your photo. Anthropic processes it under its own privacy policy and data-retention terms.
The gallery
If you leave "Post the finished animation to the public gallery" ticked, the finished cartoon (never your photo) and a still preview image of it are published and can be seen and shared by anyone. Untick it to keep your animation private to your browser.
Comments and likes
Comments are public, including the name you choose to enter. To count one like per visitor and to enforce daily animation limits, we store a one-way, salted hash of your IP address; we do not store the IP address itself.
Advertising and cookies
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services and opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ad Settings. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.
Hosting
Toonify is hosted on Vercel, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and operations.
Removing content
To have an animation or comment removed, or for any privacy question, contact us at robbuckley3@gmail.com.
